What are you going to do?

With the rapid pace of AI development, Trimble swiftly adopts these technologies in its core products and workflows, and with this increased focus on AI, we're looking for a passionate and skilled AI Product Specialist to join our team, which is dedicated to creating innovative software solutions for the construction industry.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Product Oriented:
    • Understands how AI can solve real customer problems, strongly collaborating with the construction domain stakeholders
    • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and industry experts to identify opportunities for AI integration in our software.
    • Balances AI functionality with UX, trust, and explainability concerns
  • Technically oriented:
    • Clean and prepare large, complex datasets for analysis and model training.
    • Understands large language models, prompt engineering, and/or fine-tuning
    • Evaluate and refine model performance, risks, and implementation effort
    • Stay current with the latest AI research, tools, and best practices, and apply new techniques to our products.
    • Understands deployment and monitoring requirements for AI in production
  • Cross-Team Collaboration and Communication:
    • Build and maintain relationships with other AI groups and initiatives in Trimble
    • Present findings and project outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Shares best practices, frameworks, and components deeper into teams
    • Advocates for responsible and scalable AI adoption across teams
  • Sensitivity to Risk & Business Impact:
    • Can flag where AI-driven features might backfire (e.g., legal, trust, data privacy).

What do we ask?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning models in a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
