What are you going to do?

The Netherlands Planning & Control Specialist supports financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring at the country level, ensuring alignment with regional and global financial strategies. This role provides analytical support to finance and commercial teams, offering insights to optimize profitability, manage costs, and enhance operational efficiency. By working closely with business leaders, the specialist contributes to sales performance analysis, investment planning, and the continuous improvement of financial processes.

Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Supporting on monthly sales reporting, including analysing on sales KPI;
  • Supporting the monthly and yearly financial closing (including internal reporting);
  • Providing financial analysis on business performance, cost monitoring, and profitability optimization;
  • Support in preparation of the monthly rolling forecast and yearly budget cycle;
  • Working on ad hoc request from the Corporate and Local stakeholders;
  • Supporting external and internal audit processes, ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies.

What do we ask?

As the Finance team is currently in a transition phase, during the first 2–3 months some accounting-related operational activities (currently being reallocated to the Accounting team) may temporarily fall under this position. We are therefore looking for someone with a controller mindset, but with the flexibility to support selected accounting tasks during the initial phase.

Education and experience:

  • Master degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields;
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar financial planning, controlling, or FP&A role;
  • Strong analytical skills in financial planning, KPI tracking, cost monitoring, and business case evaluation;
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial closing within a corporate environment;
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, commercial, and regional teams to drive financial performance;
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Oracle, Power BI, and other financial systems is a plus
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is considered a plus.
