Do you have a sharp analytical mind and a talent for translating complex project requirements into accurate cost estimates? At Maasdam Data Centers, we ensure that our commercial proposals are competitive, precise, and strategically sound. To support our growth, we are looking for an Estimator to develop cost calculations for our data center fit-out projects. This role is based at our headquarters in Waddinxveen, where we encourage working on-site most of the time to collaborate effectively with our team. What are you going to do?

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our project cost estimates are both accurate and competitive. You will work closely with Sales Managers, Project Engineers, Supply Chain Management, and the Business Unit Manager Commerce to develop well-founded proposals that align with business objectives. Your work will involve analyzing project requirements and technical specifications, evaluating blueprints and documentation, and preparing detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.

Throughout the bidding process, you will support the commercial team by providing insights and making adjustments that increase our chances of winning while effectively managing risks. Additionally, you will proactively identify potential project risks and opportunities, ensuring that they are properly documented in our risk and opportunities register. Maintaining well-structured and easily interpretable cost estimates will be key, ensuring that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can rely on the accuracy of your work. As part of your role, you will also contribute to continuously improving our estimation tools, cost databases, and best practices based on feedback from completed projects.

You have a structured and detail-oriented mindset—precision is key in cost estimation.
You are comfortable working in an international environment, collaborating with different teams and stakeholders.
Experience with cost estimation for construction, fit-out, or technical projects is a strong plus (data center experience is helpful but not a requirement).
You have good numerical and analytical skills and are comfortable working with IT systems and estimation tools to streamline cost calculations.
Your English is good, allowing you to communicate effectively in an international setting (Dutch is not required for this role).
