Safety Specialist

What are you going to do?

As a Safety Specialist (health, safety and environment specialist) you are responsible for formulating, implementing, and executing the entire safety policy within our company. You’ll start by analyzing the current safety processes and culture. Then you’ll develop targeted improvement plans to structurally raise the safety level and support the organization in implementing them.

You’ll also be involved with topics like maintenance, insurance, preventive absenteeism, risk assessments (RI&E), and emergency response (BHV). While part of your work is office-based, such as drafting safety plans, you’ll also regularly be on the work floor. There, you’ll monitor progress and report your findings to the management team so the organization can take further steps toward a better approach to safety. In this way, you’ll make a lasting impact as a Safety Specialist!

What do we ask?

• You enjoy applying safety practices in a hands-on way
• You like engaging with people and know how to positively influence them
• You feel a strong sense of responsibility for maintaining safety standards
• You enjoy identifying improvement opportunities and implementing them immediately
• You have completed a relevant safety education (MVK or HVK) and/or have several years of experience as a Safety Specialist
• You are fluent in English and Dutch; Polish is a plus
