Wat ga je doen?

As Finance Business Partner Mediq Select & Sourcing, you will be the key finance partner to our Chief Product Officer (CPO) and report directly to the CFO. You will also be a member of the Finance Leadership Team (FLT).

This is a senior role with significant visibility and influence. You will combine financial expertise with strong commercial judgement, helping the business make better decisions and translating financial performance into concrete actions and value creation.

What will you do?

  • You will take ownership of the financial agenda for Sourcing, Category Management and the Mediq Select business (Mediq Own Brand), and work closely with senior leaders across Mediq. Rather than simply reporting the numbers, you will challenge the business, identify opportunities and actively contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • You will provide financial insight and challenge across sourcing performance, category profitability and the development and performance of Mediq Select. A key part of your role is translating commercial and sourcing initiatives into measurable financial impact and helping the business make informed decisions around suppliers, products, pricing, margins and growth.
  • Your key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as the key Finance Business Partner to the CPO and senior stakeholders within Sourcing, Category Management and Mediq Select.
  • Taking financial ownership of the Mediq Select business and providing insight into its performance, profitability and growth opportunities.
  • Providing financial insight, challenge and guidance to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Driving performance management and proactively identifying risks, opportunities and actions to improve profitability and margins.
  • Driving value creation across Sourcing, Category Management and Mediq Select, with a strong focus on margin improvement and profitable growth.
  • Monitoring and challenging the financial performance of Mediq Select, translating developments in sales, pricing, sourcing and product mix into clear actions.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, target setting and long-range planning for Sourcing, Category Management and Mediq Select.
  • Translating complex financial and commercial data into clear recommendations and actionable business insights.
  • Developing and challenging business cases for strategic investments, commercial initiatives, new products and growth opportunities.
  • Supporting pricing, sourcing, supplier and category strategies from a financial and value-creation perspective.
  • Helping evaluate product and portfolio decisions within Mediq Select based on their financial and commercial impact.
  • Building strong relationships across functions and influencing senior stakeholders within a complex international organization.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Sourcing, Category Management and the Mediq Select business.
  • Operating with a high degree of independence and taking a leading role in shaping the financial agenda.
  • Contributing actively as a member of the Finance Leadership Team and supporting broader Finance priorities across Mediq.

Wat vragen wij?

You are an experienced Finance Business Partner who is comfortable operating close to executive management. You combine financial depth with commercial understanding and are able to challenge senior stakeholders constructively while building strong relationships.

  • You understand how sourcing, product portfolio decisions, pricing and commercial performance come together to create value. You are able to look beyond financial reporting and use data and financial insight to influence business decisions and drive tangible improvements.
  • We are looking for someone who brings:
  • A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline; an MBA is considered an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience within Finance Business Partnering, FP&A or a comparable senior finance position.
  • Significant experience partnering with senior leadership and preferably commercial, sourcing, procurement or category management functions.
  • A strong track record of driving profitable growth, margin improvement and measurable business impact.
  • Experience with strategy execution, commercial performance management, pricing and/or competitive analysis.
  • Experience with product, portfolio or own-brand/private-label economics is considered a strong advantage.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and strong experience with financial modelling, investment analysis and financial systems.
  • The ability to move comfortably between strategic discussions and detailed financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the confidence to influence stakeholders across different functions, countries and levels of seniority.
  • A proactive and change-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into concrete actions.
  • Experience working within an international and matrix organization.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage.

  • A gross monthly salary between €8,000 and €9,000, depending on your experience and background.
