System Architect – IoT (Energy Management)

Wat ga je doen?

• Define and maintain system architecture for end-to-end IoT solutions;
• Design integration points between embedded systems, cloud services, and user interfaces;
• Drive architectural decisions on scalability, security, data flow, and fault tolerance;
• Collaborate with product management to align architecture with product roadmap;
• Guide technical teams during feature development, code reviews, and platform evolution;
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and energy-specific protocols (e.g., MQTT, OCPP, mModbus);
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks for continuous innovation;
• Document and communicate architectural decisions clearly across teams.

Wat vragen wij?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field;
• 5+ years of experience in software/system architecture, ideally in IoT or embedded systems;
• Proven ability to architect distributed systems with real-time or near real-time constraints;
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and microservices architecture;
• Experience with embedded firmware, edge computing, and device-cloud integration;
• Strong communication skills and ability to balance long-term vision with short-term delivery;
• Hands-on coding experience (Python, C++, or embedded C);
• Basic proficiency in Dutch (reading and speaking) is required.
• Background in smart energy, home automation, or industrial IoT;
• Familiarity with energy management standards or devices (e.g., inverters, EV chargers);
• Experience with security and data privacy in connected devices.
